About the Event

There is nothing more important right now than excelling with emotional intelligence. Join us for an overview on improving yours!

About this Event

Emotional Intelligence is the cornerstone to how we think, act, respond and develop strong relationships. Data shows that our success in work, and life, is more closely related to our EQ (Emotional Quotient), than our IQ (Intelligence Quotient). In these uncertain times, the ability to monitor, interpret, and control our emotions, and understand those of others is more important than ever. Join Corey Campbell, CEO of Akamai Training & Consulting, for this complimentary webinar as he gives you a high-level overview of the primary elements of Emotional Intelligence, and offers tips and tactics to improve in each one.

In this webinar, participants will:

- Develop a deeper understanding of the four primary elements of Emotional Intelligence: Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social-Awareness, and Relationship Management.

- Understand the science behind the brain’s decision-making process, and how to make balanced decisions using ration and logic during times of stress or pressure.

- Assess areas of strength and weakness within their own Emotional Quotient, and identify tangible, behavioral methods to enhance their strengths and mitigate their weaknesses.

Speaker Bio:

Corey Campbell is the CEO and founder of Akamai Training & Consulting, a Honolulu-based company specializing in the design and development of custom-programming to enhance organization’s leadership and customer service skills. He brings 20+ years of experience in hotel operations, leadership, and learning and development, and has served as an innovator in the field of Organizational Psychology as a Leadership Consultant, Corporate Trainer, Executive Coach, and Keynote Speaker, working with both national and international groups. His primary goal is to create long-lasting, positive behavioral change in leaders, teams, and people to increase their engagement with work and life. He is extremely passionate about leading, and living, the right way, and brings a wealth of real-life experiences into his workshops to enrich the learning and make it tangible.

He has facilitated hundreds of Emotional Intelligence workshops to leadership teams across North America and believes that one’s Emotional Quotient (EQ) is the single greatest indicator of career and relationship success. Prior to founding Akamai Training & Consulting in 2015, he was the Complex Director of Training for Starwood’s four premier hotels in Waikiki (the Sheraton Waikiki, the Royal Hawaiian, the Westin Moana Surfrider, and the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani), where he utilized his emotional intelligence model with over 3,000 managers and associates to help drive guest and associate satisfaction scores to industry highs.

His model starts with activating an inspired mindset within, sustaining it with mindfulness and self-awareness, and engaging with emotional intelligence and purpose. To achieve real transformation, he drives leaders and teams to be open, honest, and real, and engage in activities that constructively bring out the issues that may be holding them back.

He is active in the community, serving on the Board of Directors for After-School All-Stars, the Waikiki Community Center, the Hawaii Food & Wine Epicurean Board, and the Make-A-Wish Young Leader’s Executive Board, and is an alumni of the Pacific Century Fellows Program (2018).

He graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech, and is a certified facilitator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment, Gallup’s CliftonStrengths, and Tracom’s Social Styles.
